Performance One Race Team


Performance One Race team was formed in 2009. Team owner Rob Sigg concluded a private driver search last April which three primary karting pilots were offered the opportunity to drive Performance One race karts with 100% sponsorships. With a team goal of winning Mr. Sigg motto was "whatever we need to win" was the team mandate. "Mr. Sigg afforded an opportunity never seen before in the Colorado karting community" states team manager James Sullivan, "he is a visionary who is looking to use his influence and resources to build up the karting community as a whole by sponsoring race events with cash prizes"

The team was anchored by Spec 125 shifter pilot Logan Kirk 18 years old, from Denver, Colorado. Logan's driving resume includes numerous wins and championships and both the local and regional level. Logan won the 2009 Mile High Challenge championship at the Track at Centennial.

Performance One's Tag Junior's kart was piloted by James Michael Sullivan 14 years old, of Colorado Springs. James Michael resume includes track records and championships at all tracks in Colorado. Additionally, he is a regular participant in WKA, Championship Karting and the Super National events. James Michae alsol won both championships in the Racing the Rockies and the Mile High Challenge series in 2009.

Parker Sigg, 10 years old, proved that racing is in the family by taking over the piloting duties for Performance One cadet chassis. As a first year driver, Parker posted several top finishes and consistent front row started if he did not secure the pole position. Parker finished his inaugural campaign by winning the K-80 championship in the 2009 Mile High Challenge Series.

Performance One was also eager to support competition amongst other drivers to in the classes by bring in nationally renowned drivers like Alan Rudolph know as the king of the streets in the karting community, and Mitch Cobb who is beginning his career at the NASCAR level moving up from the karting ranks.

All in all the 2009 season for Performance One was extremely successful as the team garnered 35 poles, and 38 first place finishes on its way to 4 championships.
